Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Worldwide’s upscale brand of hotels, recently recognized the Hilton Garden Inn Palm Coast/Town Center for their 5th consecutive year as one of 27 Hilton Success Award winners for their outstanding achievements. This global award is given to only the top 5% of properties worldwide. The property received this honor as a best in class performer from among the brand’s 608 hotels worldwide. In support of the award, the Hilton Garden Inn Palm Coast/Town Center was ranked #10 in “overall Experience”, which is based on the survey responses of guests who stayed at the hotel in 2015.
The hotel has also received the City of Palm Coast’s “Go Green Award” and a “Sustainability Merit Award” from the Florida Planning and Zoning Association.
Tom Grimes, general manager, is a member of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Executive Committee, member of the Flagler County Tourism Board, Kiwanis Club of Flagler County Board of Directors and member of the Northeast Florida Selective Service Bureau Board.
Janice Nickol was one of four recipients worldwide in the 2015 Director of Sales Merit Award for exemplary professionalism and personal community involvement. This prestigious award is given to a sales professional who has exhibited extraordinary personal and professional qualities that exceed guest expectations by delivering consistent positive experiences.
The White House, Air Force One, Marine One and the White House Communications Agency have recognized Lion Hotel Group hotels for excellent service during several official events at our properties.
The Holiday Inn Bozeman, southwest Montana’s largest hotel and convention center, has received awards from InterContinental Hotels Group including a “Top Overall Satisfaction Score”, a “Renovation Award” and a “Turning Point Award”.
Both the Beavercreek Courtyard and Residence Inn have received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award; 2014 and 2015 respectively; an award which recognizes establishments that consistently earn great traveler reviews.
Marriott International has recognized our Residence Inn Dayton Beavercreek with a Gold Hotel Award, as well as a Most Improved Evening Social Experience Award and special recognition for the hotel’s outstanding ESSOCC numbers.
Carroll Hamann, area general manager of the Residence Inn Dayton Beavercreek and the Beavercreek Courtyard, is a member of the Sinclair College Hospitality Program Advisory Board and the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce.
Rhonda Kuriger, general manager of Residence Inn Dayton Beavercreek is a board member of the Greene County Convention Visitors Bureau Board of Trustees, Junior Achievement Dayton Board Member, Sinclair College Hospitality Program Advisory Board member, member of the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce, Ohio Hotel & Lodging Association, Marriott Business Council, Dayton Chapter Ohio University Alumni Association, and member of the Dayton/Springfield Chapter Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame & Museum.
The Holiday Inn & Suites Duluth Downtown won the Drum Major for Peace Award from the Duluth Branch of the NAACP and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee on January 18, 2016. This award recognized the hotel for its progressive hiring practices and corporate membership in the NAACP.
Gerry Goldfarb, general manager of the Duluth Holiday Inn & Suites, is the current board chair of the Visit Duluth Board of Directors – the city’s convention and visitor’s bureau.
Our Home2 Suites by Hilton opened on January 20, 2016 and provides unique features with an emphasis on sustainability in the design features. “Green-focused” principles and practice guided both the construction and now the operation.
Robyn Klein, general manager, is active in The Your2 Hands® program which is a brand-wide community outreach program where hotel team members select a local charity of their choice to support and help make a difference. She and her team participate in the Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People Food Program (VEAP) which offers necessary sustenance and discreet shopping opportunities to low-income people. They are also active in supporting Bridging, the largest furniture bank in the United States that creates a bridge between those in need and those with excess.
Cheryl Dunbar, Holiday Inn & Suites Duluth Downtown’s HR Director, was previously named Human Resources Director of the Year from among all HR Directors Holiday Inn-wide.
Shawn McLaughlin, Holiday Inn & Suites Duluth Downtown’s Director of Sales, was previously named Director of Sales of the Year – the only person among all Sales Directors Holiday Inn-wide to receive such an award.
